These words reflect the switch in portfolios after Slovenia’s Alenka Bratušek resigned the post of Vice-President for Energy Union after her unsuccessful grilling in the European Parliament resulting in a vast majority of MEPs voting against her. Šefčovič, who originally was assigned the Transport portfolio, was “promoted“ to Energy Vice-President, leaving the Transport to Slovenia.
